The annual Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival returns for its 17^th year from April 13-22.  Enjoy 10 days and 10 nights of amazing events that celebrate winter sports, arts, culture and music.  Opening days sees The Dudes playing at the free outdoor concert series in the Skiers Plaza.  This indie rock band are natives of Calgary and are sure to be festival favourites. They will also be performing at the Dubh Linn Gate Pub at night. 

Today is also the opening party for State of the Art.  This is a gallery that will be open daily throughout the festival in the foyer of the Whistler Conference Centre.  State of the Art features underexposed and will showcase up to 40 artists and approximately 100 pieces of art, across a wide range of mediums.
