Whistler Cornucopia Day 7 begins as usual with
meditation at 7:00, followed closely by yoga at 8:00 am. This day
brings us an emphasis on learning more about raw food, with
workshops ranging from Raw Food: Why? to Raw Food: The seasons.
After 17 years, the organizers of Cornucopia have decided to
lengthen the festival from 5 days to 11 days, making it a true
extravaganza of food and drink. The event runs from November 7
to November 17th, with each day packed full of offerings from
the meditation and yoga to wine tastings, to workshops on different
aspects of a healthy lifestyle. Today, the focus helps us learn
more about raw food, with an assortment of workshops for anyone who
has an interest in this type of food preparation. We hope you enjoy
yourself today and learn a bit, too.
The Cooking Raw Food Workshop is an example of the new "nourish"
offerings this year. Called "nourish" they were developed this year
by Cornucopia to emphasize that food should be enjoyed, but also
needs to keep us healthy, both in body and mind. Every day, bright
and early, mediation and yoga are offered, as well as a set of
workshops that focus on a certain area of wellness, such as today's
Raw Food: The seasons. After checking out the schedule, we are
certain that there is literally something for everyone in this
year's Cornucopia. Check out the entire schedule to see where
you fit in.
Pemberton Valley Lodge is also excited this year about the
Pemberton representation this year. Solfeggio Foods participated in
a Farmers Table Workshop on Saturday, November 9, and on November
16 and 17th, Pemberton Distillery
and Mile One Eating House.will be in the house. If you can only
attend a few events this year, we suggest these!
