Whistler Mountain to open this Friday November 18th!
Whistler Blackcomb is opening 6 days early! Whistler Mountain will open for skiing and riding this Friday November 18th at 8.30am. Get your skis and snowboards ready and enjoy these incredible early season conditions.
More snow is forecast before opening day. The alpine forecast is calling for up to 35 centimetres of new snow as storm cycle passes through on Wednesday. The snow base is already sitting at 55cms at the Pig Alley weather station on Whistler Mountain. The snowmaking team at Whistler Blackcomb have been helping Mother Nature and have already turned over 50 million gallons of water into snow!
Whistler Mountain will open at 8:30am and close at 3pm with upload access from the Creekside Gondola and the Whistler Village Gondola. Lifts opening will be Emerald Express, Big Red Express, and Franz's Chair.
Blackcomb Mountain will be opening on November 24th.
Conditions and terrain that will be open are suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders.
