Museum Tea & Tales

Museum Tea & Tales

Pemberton Museum TEA & TALES begins Tuesday July 12th, 2011 to Aug 23rd, 2 to 4 p.m. Visitors can enjoy tea, coffee or juice and home baked treats for $2 at the Museum's Tea & Tales program every Tuesday.

Each week tea-goers are invited to listen to a local tale presented by a Pemberton resident  on various themes connected to life in the valley. The presentations are filmed for the historic record in the Soo Building. Or visitors can simply just enjoy the ground sand have tea with a friend in the shade of the cedars.

2011 Schedule

  • July 12th - Local Artists - Two local artists: Tim Napier and Dave Steers
  • July 19th - Early Trapping in Pemberton with Bob Menzel.
  • July 26th - Early Dentistry in Pemberton with Anne Crowley.
  • Aug 2nd - The History of the Pemberton Airport with Shirley Henry.

The Museum is located in the Village of Pemberton a short drive or 15 minute walk from the Pemberton Valley Lodge.

Learn more about the Pemberton Museum or contact our in-resort travel experts for more local insider information and to book your Pemberton Hotel accommodations. And check out a sample of one of the presenters at a TEA & TALES event featuring local artisan Tim Napier with the video shown below.

Whistler Alternative

When visiting Whistler, consider staying at Pemberton Valley Lodge. We offer several advantages over Whistler hotels…

 1  Only 20 minutes

You can get to the Village faster from our Lodge than you can from some parts of Whistler Resort.

 2  Save money

Whistler hotels typically charge for parking. We don't. And you get bigger rooms for your dollar.

 3  Free ski shuttle

Our free Whistler shuttle bus runs daily from the Lodge to and from Whistler and Blackcomb mountains.
