Soaring Over Pemberton
The town of Pemberton is well known for its magnificent scenery attracting thousands of visitors a year on the strength of its un-parallel views and untouched mountain sides. If you're planning a trip to Pemberton one of the best ways to see the valley and its surrounding areas is high above the clouds on a glider ride.
Pemberton Soaring Centre
If this sounds like something you're interested in doing than Pemberton Soaring Centre is you're one stop shop for glider trips. Based out of the Pemberton Airport the Soaring Centre offers a variety of flying experiences based on the customer's preference. Customers can choose from a gentle relaxing flight or a more acrobatic flight including loops and barrel rolls.
Choose you're Flight
Once you have decided on your preference of flying style it's up to you to choose the package that best fits you're budget or tastes. There are three different flight packages listed below.
1. Ridge Flight - $152
The ridge flight is a 25 minute long flight along the ridges of the Pemberton Mountain's. During the flight you will fly along the side of Mount Currie Mountain and soar above Nairn Falls waterfalls.
2. Mountain Flight - $185
The mountain flight is a 35 minute long flight that allows you to soar to higher altitudes and experience the joy of soaring high above the mountain scenery.
3. Glacier Flight - $245
This 50 minute flight is the granddaddy of all flights and takes you deep into the mountain ranges to explore the snow capped mountains and glaciers. This flight extends all the way out to Black Tusk, Garibaldi Lake and Whistler/Blackcomb Mountains. During the flight path you will stray deep into the mountains between Pemberton and Whistler.

It is important to note that flights vary on the weather conditions of the day. You and the pilots safety are first and for most so flights may be cancelled if weather is an issue. The Pemberton Soaring Centre also recommends that you book ahead of time to avoid not being able to book a flight.
