Canada Day Long Weekend Celebrations

Saturday, June 29

Team Finn Foundation Bike Relay

Kick off the Canada Day long weekend by participating in the Team Finn Bike Relay. The relay takes place from 1PM to 3PM and begins at the Pemberton Community Centre. The cost to enter a 4 person team is $40 with all proceeds going towards research for pediatric cancer.

Pre-race registration and pledge forms can be found at the Pemberton Community Centre prior to the race.

This family fun event is a great way to spend what should be a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Participants are encouraged to use any type of bike they wish and while costumes aren't mandatory they are defiantly encouraged. Anyone wishing to participate in the event should show up at least half an hour early to the Community Centre for pre-race registration.

The Pemberton Photographer Throwdown Showdown

Three local photographers will be highlighted during the Pemberton Valley Trail Association fundraiser. The event begins at 6:30 PM and take place at the Pemberton Community Centre.

The theme of the event is "Pemberton 365", highlighting the amazing seasons that sweep through the Pemberton Valley every year. The audience will vote for their favorite artist and at the end of the night a photographer will be declared the "the peoples choice".

In addition to the art showcase there will also be a silent auction, beer, draw prizes and more. Proceeds from the event will go towards the PVTA's goal of completing the Mount Currie Trail and expanding the mountain bike trails along the One Mile Lake zone.

Whistler Alternative

When visiting Whistler, consider staying at Pemberton Valley Lodge. We offer several advantages over Whistler hotels…

 1  Only 20 minutes

You can get to the Village faster from our Lodge than you can from some parts of Whistler Resort.

 2  Save money

Whistler hotels typically charge for parking. We don't. And you get bigger rooms for your dollar.

 3  Free ski shuttle

Our free Whistler shuttle bus runs daily from the Lodge to and from Whistler and Blackcomb mountains.
