Our Commitment to the Pemberton Community
Pemberton Valley Lodge is proud to be part of a number
of local community and environmental initiatives. We are
committed to supporting these great causes and also to continue
developing our high standards in green initiatives.
Our Community Partnerships
PAWS (Pemberton Animal Well-Being Society)
PAWS is a non-profit society whose
principal aim is to humanely address the needs and concerns of both
dogs and cats in the Pemberton and Mount Currie areas.
Pemberton Valley Lodge is a dog-friendly hotel. We charge a pet fee and a
portion of this fee is donated to PAWS.
Cops for Cancer
Each fall, law
enforcement officers and emergency personnel throughout
the province cycle up to two weeks across four areas of British
Columbia. The goal is to support children with cancer and their
families. Each Cops for Cancer team
member has to raise at least $6,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society
as well as participate in team training. The 'Tour de Coast' starts
in Vancouver, then heads up the Sunshine Coast before heading up to
Whistler and Pemberton and looping back down to Vancouver.
Gingerbread Project
The Gingerbread Project is a benefit and
fundraiser for the Pemberton Food
Bank that happens each year over the Holidays. Local
area businesses are asked to build a Gingerbread House or
Gingerbread Village. These amazing displays are shown in the lobby
at the Pemberton Valley Lodge for all to see. Everyone is welcome
to see the display and encouraged to bid on the houses and to vote
on the best house or village.
Pemberton Valley Trail Association
Pemberton Valley Trails
Association (PVTA) maintains and builds an incredible
network of trails around the beautiful Pemberton Valley. The trails
are used by mountain bikers, hikers, horse riders, snowshoers and
more. The PVTA is hoping to construct a new hiking route up Mt.
Currie in the near future. The Pemberton Valley Lodge is pleased to
support this great association.
