The Pemberton Arts Council presents the Music Art Dance
Expression (MADE) Saturday, October 17. The festival is a
daylong artisan showcase at the Pemberton & District Community
Centre. The event gives local artists a platform to share their
works with the local community.
This can include everything from paintings, film, dance, music,
pottery, sculpture, poetry and much more. During the event, the
entire Community Centre transforms into a giant art gallery full,
with different rooms representing various forms of artistry.
Special Note: Call for Flash Mob
Participants - The Guff Dance Theatre invites you
to participate in a Zombie Flash Mob on Saturday, October 17. Join
us for rehearsal at 8PM followed by a public performance at 9PM.
Open to ages 13+, costume and make-up encouraged but not necessary.
No sign up required, just show up! *Adults wishing to stay for the
MADE event following must have a ticket.
Doors Open from 10 AM - 12PM
- 10 AM - 4 PM | Family and children can enter the
facility, admission by donation. The facility will be closed to
children after 4 PM
- 7 PM - 9 PM | Cocktail reception, at this time there will
be a quick address of the crowd and artists will be on hand to
field questions about their work -- entry costs $15.
- 9 PM - 12 PM | A number of live dance and
Guests are free to wander the Community Centre checking out the
various performances and art pieces. Entry to the event from 7 PM -
12 PM is limited to adults only, tickets cost $15 from 7 PM on!
**Calling all artists** The Pemberton Arts
Council is looking for artists wishing to participate in this
year's event. No matter if you're a painter,
sculpture, musician, director, dancer, pottery maker -- you are
