Raven Backcountry Festival is a two day event focused on advancing your skills in backcountry skiing, split boarding and snowmobling in the Sea to Sky region. The event will give you a basic understanding of the safety, equipement and techniques you will need to succed in the backcountry. There are clinics for every level of backcoutry enthusiast include introduction clinics, intermediate tuning and advanced techniques.

Choose from dozens of backcountry clinics including introduction to backcountry skiing and splitboarding, heli-skiing assisted touring, snowmobile skills and more.

Friday, Februaury 7th

The event is split into two days, with a kick-off presentation on Friday, February 7th at Big Sky Golf. The Friday event will feature a speakers panel from Pemberton's backcountry elite including; Kye Petersen, Tatum Monod, Logan Pehota, Eric Pehota, Blake Jorgenson Photography and Darryl Treadway.

Tickets are $20 and include one drink ticket, with a portion going towards the Lisa Korthals Memorial Fund.

Saturday, February 8th

On Saturday, February 8th, choose from a number of backcountry clinics, with a focus on safety, gear and technique for tackling the mountains. The clinics will be hosted by industry experts Altus Mountain Guides, Extremely Canadian, Broken Boundary Adventures and supported by Blackcomb Helicopters.

• Snowmobile Skills Beginner
• Snowmobile Skills Beginner (Women’s Specific)
• Snowmobile Skills Intermediate
• Snowmobile Skills Intermediate (Women Specific)
• Snowmobile Skills Advanced
• Sled Crevasse Rescue
• Introduction to Sled Skiing
• Sled Ski Intermediate

After the clinics wrap-up head back to Big Sky Golf for Raven Apres. The night will feature live music from Big Mountain Rhythm, tasty beverages, a exhibition by Pemberton Arts Council and a silent auction with items that’ll blow your mind. Every ticket purchase includes a drink ticket and a donation to the Lisa Korthals Memorial Fund.
