Whistler Heli Skiing
Are you looking for the ultimate adventure this winter? Heli skiing and heli snowboarding is an experience of a life time not to missed. Imagine carving through untracked powder, endless terrain, soaking in the beautiful breathtaking backcountry scenery and all this with no lift lines!
The Pemberton and Whistler area is home to some of the best heli skiing terrain in Canada. You will have access to 173 glaciers and 475 runs. The heli skiing areas include the Spearhead Range, just outside of the Whistler/Blackcomb ski area, Ipsoot on the Pemberton Icecap and the beautiful Tenquille Lake area. There is so much variety of terrain that all levels of skiers and boarders are accommodated.
Whistler Heli Skiing takes skiers and snowboarder s from intermediate to expert ability level. Skiers and boarders are placed into groups of similar ability. Certain packages are reserved for experts only therefore this normally ensures that experts are grouped with other experts. To make the powder skiing/snowboarding experience more enjoyable, you can rent brand new powder skis from Salomon, Rossignol and K2 and Burton powder boards including the Fish and Barracuda.
You can heli-ski or heli snow board for one day or go for as many days as your legs will take! There are a variety of packages available from a 3 run package which is perfect for intermediate skiers and boarders to a 6 run package suitable for expert skiers. The 6 run package is suitable for groups of up to 5 with similar abilities who are looking for a more private experience. You will be in a Bell 407 Helicopter which only seats 5 people. There are discounts available if you book multi days.
All packages include a professional certified heli-ski guide with each group, use of avalanche transceiver and powder ski tracers, on-mountain lunch and return ground transportation from Whistler Village. Lunch is made by the fabulous Bearfoot Bistro catering team including items such as the popular daily soup and tea. A professional photographer will also join your group for one of your runs and film you in action!
After your amazing day skiing or riding, you will enjoy après at the Bearfoot Bistro in the Listel Hotel and watch the video! The video plays at least twice for everyone's enjoyment, so make sure you invite your friends and family to join you there. The video and photos are available to purchase.
