Pemberton Community Story Harvest

Harvest is part of Winterfest 2012
The Pemberton Winterfest 2012 is just around the corner... and as one of the great community events scheduled, the Pemberton Public Library is reviving the Community Story Harvest. This was a great success when it was last run in 2009; where the writings were focused on individuals from the community.
Authors were called upon to interview and write about people... characters that contribute to the diverse and multifarious way of life here in the little valley.
Shannon Ellis, Director of the Pemberton Public Library and organizer of the event spoke about her personal contribution to the last Harvest. "I wrote about an interesting gentleman from the community; a talented musician with an eclectic background in experimental music"
Harvest is sharing personal experiences
This year the focus changes from
people to PLACES. Authors are
asked to write approximately one page with a maximum of 300 words.
Any photographs or other visual representations that could be
included is welcomed.
All levels of writers are welcome to participate. From burgeoning youth, to published writers! All ages and backgrounds are wanted.
Harvest celebrates our unique surroundings
Places can evoke deep emotion and connection to where we live. We all have our special and secret places in nature. They are a connected to us in special ways. Share your own and take in others unique locations and their personal significance and experiences. Celebrate this wonderful region! Check out the rest of the Winterfest Schedule.
