Pemberton Celebrates Multiculturalism Week

Join us this Saturday as Pemberton celebrates Multiculturalism week with a day of festivities at the Pemberton Community Centre.
This Saturday Pemberton will be hosting a one day event celebrating Multiculturalism Week in Canada. Multiculturalism Week is held the third week of November across Canada and celebrates the cultures and traditions of our diverse population.
Festivities will be held this Saturday, November 17 at the Pemberton Community Centre from 11 AM to 3 PM. A series of musical performances, children's activities and food samplings will be on display to celebrate different cultures across the world.

- Musical Performances by local artists and international performers from Japan and the Philippines.
- Children's Activities including Diablo, international games and toys, puppet theatre, make a piñatas, make your own Mexican Halloween mask or Japanese demon mask 'Setsubun', play the Japanese face puzzle 'Fukuwarai', Mexican bingo game, know your language competition, Japanese puppet story time.
- Food samplings from Japan, the Philippines, Quebec, Switzerland and China.
- Arts & Crafts including origami (make your own sumo wrestler or jumping frog), calligraphy, Chinese knots, basket weaving with newspaper.
