10 Reasons to Visit Pemberton this Spring

Spring has arrived in the beautiful Pemberton Valley and now is a great time to plan a getaway. With the warmer weather on its way, great rates and lots to do - spring is the perfect time of year to visit Pemberton.
1. Golf in Pemberton
Pemberton is home to two outstanding golf courses. Big Sky Golf and Country Club will be opening for the season on April 19. The Meadows at Pemberton will be opening for the season in mid April. The Pemberton Valley Lodge is offering great spring accommodation and golf packages!
2. It's much warmer than Whistler
Pemberton is just 32km north of Whistler but the climate is very different. Winter lasts much longer in Whistler, which is great for skiing and riding. Pemberton has a much warmer climate, hence the reason why the Pemberton golf courses open much earlier. Why not book one of our golf and ski in the same day packages! You can in Pemberton!
3. Great Deals
We have rates starting at just $99 per night for a studio suite over the Easter weekend. This is a limited time offer, so book now to avoid disappointment.
4. Mountain bike trails are open
Just as the Pemberton golf courses open much earlier than Whistler, so are the mountain bike trails. In fact, mountain bikers were riding Happy Trail in February this year! Pemberton has an extensive network of world class mountain bike trails. Visit the Bike Co for updates on which trails are open.
5. Nimby Fifty
The Pemberton Valley Lodge is pleased to be the official accommodation provider for the Nimby Fifty Mountain Bike Race. This epic cross country mountain bike race takes place on May 26th.
6. Soar the Mountains
Pemberton Soaring is scheduled to open on April 15. Enjoy a scenic glider flight and marvel at the spectacular mountain scenery. Pemberton Soaring also offers glider rentals and glider pilot training. (NOTE: Pemberton Soaring has ceased operations summer of 2013.)
7. Hiking
There is still snow on the alpine hiking trails, but you can experience some great hikes in the Pemberton Valley. Popular trails include the easy hike to spectacular Nairn Falls and the loop around One Mile Lake.
8. Fishing
The fishing is great all year round in Pemberton, but spring is great time to try some fly fishing in the local lakes and rivers. Visit our fishing in Pemberton for more information.
9. Horseback Riding
Pemberton has more horses per capita than any other areas in BC. Explore the beautiful Pemberton Valley on horseback. There are a number of outfitters that offer guided tours for all ability levels. Contact us for more details.
10. Visit North Arm Farm
North Arm Farm is the place to buy locally grown organic produce as well as baked goods and much more. They will be opening for the season on May 19.
