Earth Hour 2013
This Saturday at 8:30 PM the Pemberton Valley Lodge will be switching off our lights for one hour as we take part in Earth Hour 2013. Earth Hour takes place all over the world and brings together hundreds of millions of people to help promote the conservation of our planet.
The idea of Earth Hour is for everyone involved to help make a difference in our communities. People are encouraged to use fewer resources and institute changes in their lifestyle going forward. Some of the changes we can institute going forward can be as small as bringing our own bags to the grocery store to as big as parking our cars and using public transport.
The Pemberton Valley Lodge is a proud sponsor of Earth Day and encourages everyone in Pemberton to do their part this Saturday. The Lodge has always put a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability which includes purchasing our power from renewable energy company Bullfrog Power, hotel-wide recycling programs and installing new power saving thermostats.
Please join the Pemberton Valley Lodge and the millions around the world this Saturday, March 23 for Earth Hour at 8:30 PM.
