Pemberton Winterfest 2014 -- Postponed to 2015
Winterfest 2014: Postponed to 2015
Pemberton Winterfest brings that wonderful adventurous pioneer spirit out and celebrates the stuff that makes Pemberton special. We're a small community, but we pack a lot of heart and soul into our 2000+ inhabitants. Winterfest is a great example of what makes Pemberton shine.
Unfortunately, Pemberton Winterfest is postponed until 2015. Typically, for Winterfest, festivities start at the Pemberton Legion, and then move over to One Mile Lake for the following two days. Events from previous years include lots of chilly fun, including sledding, curling, hockey, swimming, and much more.
Next year, there will be a family friendly dinner, pond skating with complimentary skate rentals, shinny hockey, curling, on-ice movies, fireworks, ice fishing, DJ music, polar bear plunge, Pemberton Wish Lanterns, crafts and trivia questions. This is truly a compendium of good old fashioned winter fun.
The Best of Pemberton: Winterfest
Pemberton really attracts some of the most adventurous spirits in the province, with world class athletes and artists making their homes here. Add to this the family-friendly spirit that you find infused throughout any Pemberton activity, and you definitely have a fun, wholesome and spirited place to celebrate. Winterfest brings all this together in one weekend each year.
Just a short, 20 minute drive from Whistler, Pemberton is at once incredibly close to that world famous resort and also worlds apart. You arrive in Pemberton and the valley opens up for you, welcoming you into a village where horses and cyclists are as welcome as pedestrians and cars. Winterfest celebrates this athletic and frontier spirit, highlighting exactly what we have grown to love about this place.
We hope you are able to come and visit us during Winterfest. If there is anything we can help you with during your stay, don't hesitate to ask. We're minutes away from the festivities, both at the Pemberton Legion and at One Mile Lake. And if you forgot your bathing suit but still want to take part in the Polar Bear Plunge (brr!) we can direct you to the best place to buy a swimsuit, too. Hope to see you having fun and enjoying winter at its best!
