2014 Family Day at the Pemberton Valley Lodge
This Saturday, December 13th, is a very exciting day in Pemberton for many reasons. As the holidays approach, it's important to remember that giving is just as important as receiving and you have ample opportunity this weekend. With the Christmas countdown on and the 3rd annual Gingerbread "house" competition underway, we invite you to celebrate with us!
Stuff a Cruiser (Full of Food)!
Starting the day off at Scotiabank, there will be a police cruiser located outside ready for you to stuff it full of donations to the food bank. Stop by between 11am and 1pm with non-perishable donations for the Pemberton Food Bank and help the RCMP stuff their cruiser full. If you can't make it to Scotiabank in the morning you can come by the Pemberton Valley Lodge and stuff the cruiser from 1pm until 4pm. Let's help our community and fill that cruiser as much as we can! Some suggested items are: large cans of powdered baby formula, canned fish/meat, healthy cereal, whole grained rice/pasta, canned vegetables and fruit and canned or dry soups.

Family Day at the Pemberton Valley Lodge
It just so happens that this Saturday is also Family Day at the Lodge. This is one of the most exciting days of the year because we have a very special guest who makes an appearance. Bring the whole family down for a visit with Santa Claus between 1pm and 4pm. You can get your photo taken with him and tell him what you'd like for Christmas! Also, you can sip on hot chocolate and eat delicious cookies while checking out the gingerbread creations that are on display. Don't forget to bring a donation for the Pemberton Food Bank! From December 10thuntil the 20th you have the opportunity to stop by the Lodge and check out the gingerbread "houses" built by local businesses. This is the 3rd annual competition and is a fantastic holiday tradition in our community. There is an ongoing Silent Auction where the Gingerbread creations will be up for bid so you have a chance to win one of theses masterpieces. Bringing the whole family to admire the entries is a great way to get in the holiday spirit and support the Pemberton community. Last year we raised $6412.10 and we know we can beat that number this year, with your help. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
