Pemberton Community Barn Frame Complete
hanks to some hard work from the Timber Framers Guild and volunteers throughout the community construction on the new community barn frame is complete. As of right now the frame of the barn is 100% complete. Only the roof remains until the structure is completely operational.
The new community barn was constructed out of Douglas Fir logs giving the structure a beautiful aesthetic and rustic look. Upon completion, the barn will be the new home for the Pemberton Farmer's Market and various other community events.
Once again a big thanks must be extended to the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation and the Timber Framers Guild. The TFG was kind enough to send some 50 volunteers to Pemberton for two weeks to complete construction on the barn's frame. Many of the volunteers were hosted by families throughout the community and were fed by local restaurants and residents. Meanwhile, none of this would have been made possible without the generous donation of $240,000 from the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation. With the donation, the Village of Pemberton was able to secure the supplies needed to move the project forward.
As of right now construction on the roof of the barn has begun and will be completed over the next few weeks by volunteers from the community.
