PVL Awarded TripAdvisor GreenLeader PLATINUM Status
The Pemberton Valley Lodge is extremely proud to
have been awarded PLATINUM status within the TripAdvisor
GreenLeaders program. The GreenLeaders program was
developed by TripAdvisor to reward hotels and B&B's following
eco-friendly practices. There are four different levels awarded in
the GreenLeaders program including: Bronze, Silver, Gold and
Platinum. To achieve a level of Platinum level hotels must
meet a minimum requirement of 60% or higher on their GreenLeaders
scorecard. Since opening The Lodge has aimed to be
as environmentally sustainable as possible and takes great pride in
being awarded Platinum status within the TripAdvisor GreenLeaders
program.
Some of the measures The Lodge has taken to become more eco-friendly includes:
- revamping our recycling program
- installing an electric car charging station
- buying cleaner power (BullFrog Power)
- installing power saving appliances & light fixtures
- instituting more sustainable housekeeping practices and several other measures
