Barn Burner Triple Preview
The Barn Burner Triple is Pemberton's newest running race set to be held this coming Saturday, June 20. The race will be held along Pemberton's world famous single track mountain bike trails, taking runners off the road and into the forest and mountains.
The name of the event is very significant to the
race. The 'Barn' represents the Pemberton Community
Barn which will serve as the starting and finishing line
for the race. The barn is located in the centre of the Pemberton
Village and will also serve as cheer headquarters for friends and
supporters.
The 'Triple Burner' signifies the three laps runners can choose to complete. We say choose because each lap is of varying distance, with runners getting the option to choose from a 10KM, 15KM and 25KM route. Each route represents a distinct loop of technical running throughout Pemberton.
Runners can expect a variety of terrain on each trail. Be prepared for some steeps - both up and down, technical single track, flowy descents, mossy forests and a few breathtaking views.
A cool feature of this event is that it can be completed individually or as part of a team. Teammates can choose to run the course as a relay with each teammate completing a loop.
