Beat the Summer Heat in Pemberton
If you haven't noticed Pemberton is currently experiencing a bit of a hot spell. To help you out we've put together a list of our favorite ways to beat the Pemberton heat. Spoiler cold water is usually involved.
#1 Hit the Lake
No shocker here! When it's stinking hot outside the best way to cool down is by hitting one of Pemberton's many lakes. If closeness is your priority then check out One Mile Lake located 2 minutes outside of town. If you're up for a bit of an adventure then why not check out Lillooet Lake or Joffre Lake. These glacier fed lakes are a sure-fire way to cool the body down with an icy dip. If you're looking for a more relaxed water temperature then make sure to hit up Mosquito, Ivey or Gates. Each one of these lakes is located about 20 minutes out of town but offers the perfect combination of not-too-cool but not-too-warm water.
#2 Grab an Ice Cream from The Pony
When the temperature gauge is pushing 30 one of the quickest and most satisfying ways to cool down is with an ice cream cone. Luckily The Pony Restaurant offers up delicious ice cream cones that hit the spot. Walk, or bike to The Pony and let that soft cream cone cool you down.

#4 Cool Down in the Pemberton Valley Lodge Pool
You don't even have to leave the Lodge to enjoy this perk. When the sun is beaming down cool off in the Pemberton Valley Lodge Pool. Sorry this only one only applies for PVL guests.
