Never too Early to Plan a Christmas Party
Hard to believe but with October upon us the straight stretch to the holidays gets closer and closer. With that in mind, it's never too early to start thinking about planning your Christmas party.
Two of the more popular places in town to throw a Christmas shindig always include the two local golf courses. Both courses offer large indoor spaces, including fully staffed kitchens and bars. The two courses have already started taking holiday party bookings from early November till late December.
The Fescues Restaurant at Big Sky Golf Club
Big Sky will be devoting its restaurant area to Christmas gatherings from November 13 to December 19. Starting in November the entire property from the gate to the restaurant will be decorated in holiday décor. The log house clubhouse makes for a perfect backdrop for winter pictures and cozy parties.
The restaurant can be set up in accordance with any particular style. Event options can include fully plated dinners, buffet style dinners, snacks and appetizers and access to a fully licensed and operational bar. If you book your event at Big Sky it should be noted that during that particular day the entire venue will be yours, there is no fee for private bookings. Dinner parties can range from $25 to $35 a person depending on the food choices and service needed. For additional fees, DJ's and musicians can be booked for entertainment.

Holiday for Paws
Big Sky will be hosting the annual Holiday for Paws fundraiser sometime in late November (official date will be released soon). During the event, guests are encouraged to bring their dogs and take part in a fun night of socializing and raising money for the Pemberton PAWS chapter. Tickets for the event cost $10, with appetizers and refreshments available throughout the event. Yummy cookies and puppy treats will be available for our four-legged friends.
The event will also feature an appearance from Ol' Saint Nick himself. A dedicated area will be available for Santa Clause pictures for kids and pets. Parents are encouraged to bring their children out for a picture with Santa even if they don't have a pet - we just ask you please give a $10 donation to PAWS.
The Black Squirrel Restaurant at Meadows Golf
The Meadows Golf Course will be opening their restaurant The Black Squirrel for events from November to December. The restaurant offers bookings for private events and special bookings. The facility is set up perfectly for dining and entertaining with a dedicated dinner area and wood floor dance area.
At the request of the individual the restaurant can be decorated, or catered in a number of ways. There is a fully stocked bar available for use. The Meadows has also provided a Christmas Dinner Packages menu - giving guests a range of options to choose from at a number of price ranges. Lucy Hawksbee the restaurant manager at The Black Squirrel says 'catering options are pretty much limitless, we range from casual pub food, bbq, fine dining and more.'
When
dinner is over and it's time for dancing the restaurant has a built
in sound system throughout the entire facility with satellite radio
or iPod option plug-in. The dance floor also has room for DJs or
bands with a list of preferred vendors provided if needed.
When it's time for the partygoers to head home The Meadows has a 20 person party bus that can shuttle people home or off to the next stop.
