Whistler Holiday Market

With plenty of early season snowfall, opening day on Whistler Mountain is scheduled for November 24. To date Whistler Blackcomb has received 47cm of snow since November 1, as measured at the Pig Alley weather station located on Whistler Mountain at 1,650m.

But there's plenty of other non-ski related events coming up that we're really excited for! So here's a quick list of things to do in the Sea to Sky Corridor this winter.

Whistler Holiday Market

1. Whistler Holiday Market

November 26 | 11am - 8pm
Whistler Conference Centre

Arts Whistler Holiday Market is two days of hand-baked, hand-made goodness. Come out and grab some local artwork, a christmas gift, and a delicious treat. With over 100 vendors there is sure to be something for everyone on your gift list. Add live music, carols, a food court, a lounge with free wifi, and visits from Santa, and the market becomes a full-on festive bonanza. What better way to welcome the holiday season!

Come in your snow boots, ski boots, or slippers. Ski, ride your bike, or walk right on in, we don't care how you get here, we just want to make sure you don't miss out!

Whistler Film Festival

3. Whistler Film Festival

November 30 - December 4

The Whistler Film Festival will welcome film fans and filmmakers to experience its 16th edition with fresh films, special guests, epic events, innovative industry Summit and talent programs, and time to play in North America's premier mountain resort destination. The Whistler Film Festival (WFF) combines an esteemed film competition with an intimate industry Summit that attracted 13,332 attendees last year!

To recognize the vitality of the art form, WFF 2016 will feature ten juried competitive sections with 15 awards and one audience award selected from up to 1,000 submissions. Approximately 90 films from Canada and around the world (including 45 features and 45 shorts) will be presented.

Whistler Film Festival

Over the years, WFF has established an impressive track record for launching new films and filmmakers, and has earned a reputation as a real 'filmmakers festival' with its coveted competitions and non-competitive sections that celebrate the best in independent Canadian and world cinema.

The Whistler Film Festival has been recognized as Canada's coolest film festival, 'one of the top 30 film festivals in the world' by Variety, and is consistently rated as one of the top film festivals in the country by film fans and filmmakers alike.
