2016 Gingerbread Project - Raising Funds for Pemberton Food Bank
Fundraising for the Pemberton Food Bank
The 6th annual Pemberton Gingerbread Project returns on December 10th. This 11-day event raised funds for the Pemberton Food Bank. The 2016 event is presented by Pemberton Valley Lodge with co-sponsors Scotiabank Pemberton and the Question.
The best part of this holiday tradition? All the proceeds benefit the Pemberton Food Bank! Entries to the competition cost $5 each. Then, as the community comes by from December 10 to December 20 to admire the creative masterpieces, they are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for the food bank. Next, everyone is encouraged to take part in the silent auction of the creations, which is set to raise more money for the food bank. All this charitable donation and everybody's having a great time as well. You'll definitely want to come see this year's masterpieces!

Build Your Own Gingerbread Project!
Gingerbread houses and villages will be on display at the Pemberton Valley Lodge from December 10 to 20. Pemberton & area businesses are encouraged to build Gingerbread House or Village that will be raffled off. The public will be invited to come and bid on the houses and bring in non-perishable food items for the food bank.
A Rich History of Support Pemberton Food Bank
The Pemberton Gingerbread has a strong history of making positive contributions to the Pemberton Food Bank. In 2015, the Gingerbread Project raised $10,000 and collected twelve large food hampers. The 2014 Gingerbread Project raised over $8,500 and seventeen hampers of food were collected with all forwarded to the Pemberton Food Bank.
