Meadows Road Trails

Other cross-country ski trails are available approximately 13 km up Pemberton Meadows Road on private property, yet made available to the public. The trail system is very popular and groomed by volunteers, but is a little bit of a "local's secret." You'll want to ask around for precise directions.

Backcountry Skiing

Some of the finest backcountry ski terrain in Southern BC lies just east of Pemberton where Highway 99 climbs through the Cayoosh Range and runs past Duffey Lake. The highway gives easy access to numerous avalanche paths, open ridges, meadows, glaciers and attractive alpine basins that offer superb mid-winter backcountry skiing. Ski trips start at higher elevations from the paved highway and range from sleuthing for powder near the road to high-alpine ski ascents.

The Pemberton backcountry offers incredible back country skiing opportunities. Popular areas include the Marriot Basin, Cayoosh Creek, Cerise Creek and areas around Joffre Lakes. For more information on locations, guided tours, and backcountry skiing visit our Pemberton winter activities section.

Pemberton Hot Springs

Hot Springs

Just sit back, relax, and enjoy all the beautiful views of British Columbia's natural hot spring system. Pemberton is located close to a handful of natural hot springs where people can experience the outdoor hot tubs for themselves. These aren't always the easiest to get to but they're very worth it.

Keyhole Hot Springs

One of the most popular places in the Pemberton area is Keyhole Hot Springs. This amazing natural hot springs is located up the Pemberton Meadows, deep down the Meager Creek Forestry Road. A newly renovated trail has been installed in the area, allowing you to complete the hike one way in about 35 minutes. Driving time from Pemberton to the hot springs 1 hour 15 minutes - one way!

Sloquet Hot Springs

Sloquet Hot Springs is a set of shallow, man-made pools fed by a small, all natural, and very hot, waterfall. The pools stretch from the waterfall to the large and crashing Sloquet River. The large, spread out campsite for the hot springs is only a short 5 minute walk from the springs!
