March is a great time of year to spend in Whistler. Spring skiing, beautiful weather, and a great time to get up into the mountains with the whole family. There's plenty to do for children and adults during Spring.
Get your young ones into some fun skiing competitions this March 3rd and 4th, 2018. The Whistler Blackcomb Ski and Snowboard Cross recreational competition events are open to participants 9-13 years of age. There's also different divisions where amateur skiers and snowboarders can compete in the Terrain Park Snowcross.
A staple in Whistler during the Winter and Spring months is the Fire & Ice Show! Head to the Skiers' Plaza every Sunday to watch a spectacular show of big air stunts, fire, music, and more. Put on some warm clothes, grab a hot beverage and check out the amazing show with the whole family at 6:30. Then the adults can keep the party going at the Garibaldi Lift Co. for the Afterburn Party at 8 PM.
Enjoy an evening of casual and informative programs, hands-on activities, and much more based off of the Audain Art Museum's permanent collection and current exhibits. On March 2nd, you can expect anything from presentations and performances, to workshops, quizzes, and more. This all happens on the first friday of every month from 5 PM - 7 PM, free for museum members and with purchase of admission.
The Ice Kingdom is in Whistler boasting the largest-ever snow sculpture exhibit in British Columbia this Spring! You can find out more about the Ice Kingdom from one of our previous blog posts.
