Pemberton is the most northern point of the Sea-to-Sky mountain bike mecca. Loved by mountain bikers all over the world, Pemberton in summer has some of the best bike trails that you'll ever ride, and the locals love them too. Pemberton has over fifty trails, and locals get out for a ride fifty-two times a year on average.

Stop by Bike Co., the local bike shop, and get trail recommendations from the reggae-loving, bike-riding staff. Picking your way up the climbing trails you'll be treated to some incredible views of Mt. Currie. On the way down you've got a choice of steep, technical double black trails, flowing blue trails, and everything in between. Every Pemberton summer is made better with a few days out on the mountain bike.

Hiking

If mountain biking isn't quite your thing, then hiking is another one of the best things to do in Pemberton in summer. The area is blessed with some jaw-dropping scenery and amazing hiking trails for every level of hiker. No Pemberton summer is complete without visiting Joffre Lakes. This four-hour hike is one of B.C.'s finest. You're treated to views of glacier peaks and icy, turquoise blue lakes.

If you can't squeeze in a four-hour hike, then Nairn Falls could be the hike for you. It takes roughly 90 minutes and is relatively flat throughout. That doesn't mean that you're not rewarded with great views though! The trail lets you get incredibly close to the powerful Nairn Falls and swirling plunge pools. For a more family-friendly activity, check out One Mile lake for an even shorter, relaxing hike with the kids.
