There are lots of great fall events happening in Whistler to tide us over while we wait for ski season to start.

Whistler Writers Festival

October 17th – 20th, 2019

Booklovers can rejoice because the Whistler Writers Festival is back for its 18th year this October. Come out and celebrate the written word at this annual fall event in Whistler. Jam-packed with activities and events over 4 days, the Whistler Writers Festival is a must-do for any bibliophile. 

Get ready for a weekend full of literary workshops, speaker panels, live readings, and meeting amazing Canadian and international authors. All that, plus magical evenings of music and great conversation with writers and fellow bookworms.

Whistler 50 Relay

Whistler 50 Relay & Ultra Marathon

October 19th, 2019

It’s time to tie-up your running shoes and start getting ready for the Whistler 50 Relay & Ultra Marathon. Open to experienced marathon runners and first-time racers, the Whistler 50 offers options for all skill levels with distances from 10KM to 50KM. This annual relay race is can be run in teams of 8, 4, or 2, and features a 50K solo choice for the ultra-marathoners. 

This year, the course is in the wonderful natural setting of Whistler’s Lost Lake trails with relay transitions happening behind the Olympic Rings at the Whistler Olympic Plaza. Plus, spectators can cheer on their favourite athletes from the beer gardens and enjoy the pre-race social and post-race party there as well.

November 7th – 17th, 2019

Get ready to experience an unforgettable culinary event this November in the beautiful Coast Mountains. Whistler’s fabled Cornucopia gathers the best food and drinks from all over British Columbia for an incredible 11-day fall festival. Cornucopia brings a little something for everyone with their wide-ranging program of winery dinners, grand tastings, food and drink workshops, parties and so much more.

December 4th – 8th, 2019

Also, a little past fall but never to be forgotten, the Whistler Film Festival is back at the beginning of December! If you love films, WFF is a can’t miss event! So far 12 films have been confirmed including 9 world premieres and 3 Canadian premieres.
