Joffre Lake Provincial Park is comprised of 3 beautiful alpine lakes - Lower Joffre, Middle Joffre, and Upper Joffre Lake. Located just off the Duffey Lake Road, the park is approximately a 40 minute drive north of Pemberton towards Lillooet.

Lakes to Visit in Pemberton
Joffre may be Pemberton’s most ‘known-of’ lake but it certainly isn’t the only one. Pemberton has lots of choices when it comes to cooling down during the summer months.
One Mile Lake
One Mile Lake is right at the entrance to Pemberton, just off Highway 99. One Mile is a popular destination at any time of year because of its easy accessibility. Plus, the lake has a park at the south end with picnic tables, a fire pit, designated swim area, and dock. Or you can visit the north end which has a dog park and walking trails towards town. All these are connected with a nice boardwalk trail that loops around the lake, making it perfect for a walk during all seasons.
Mosquito & Ivey Lake
Most locals go-to lake for a quick dip after work, Mosquito and Ivey Lake are located side by side on the top of Ried Road. Mosquito has a great network of trails around the lake which are popular with mountain bikers and trail runners. Being the warmest of Pembertons surrounding lakes, the docks at Mosquito can get quite busy during the weekends. However, if you bring some floaties you’ll have plenty of space for yourself.
Birkenhead Lake
Birkenhead Lake is a popular spot for camping, fishing, canoeing, hiking, and mountain biking. Located approximately 60km out of Pemberton, Birkenhead Provincial Park is home to a variety of wildlife and old growth forests.
Anderson Lake
Located in the community of D'Arcy, 45 minutes north of Pemberton, is beautiful Anderson Lake. This massive 21km long lake is an extremely popular spot for boaters, waterskiers, and wakeboarders. Notably colder than most of the other lakes on this list, Anderson is the perfect place to take a plunge during the hot summer days.
