Pemberton’s One of a Kind Spring Harvest & Fresh Produce
Spring is arguably the most remarkable season in the Sea to Sky. The ability to ski, bike, fish, golf and paddle all on the same day is unbeatable. The longer days, warm weather, and spring showers make excellent adventuring conditions. It also makes Pemberton the ideal location for the annual spring harvest.
Each year Pemberton farmers are responsible for supporting fantastic produce for locals and restaurants in the area. Spring is the time for new growth and rebirth; as the snow melts, the fresh flowers and produce start to break ground. The local farm circuit is something you can’t miss out on, pick up fresh vegetables, organically grown/sourced meat, and locally handcrafted beer.

Fresh Veggies & More
The snow has melted in the valley, and it’s time to work. Farmers have been busy since the beginning of spring, plowing fields and planting seeds to be ready for the new harvest season. North Arm Farm is a 55-acre farm open to the public majority of the year, with only a few weeks in February closed.
Spring is their favourite time as they can “start fresh and all things seem possible.” They offer radishes and beets starting in April as the warmer weather arrives; they have every vegetable imaginable, beans, sunchokes, peas, carrots, squashes, etc. All the locals patiently hold their breath for their U-pick season starting June-October, starting with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, cheeky September surprise, and the famous October pumpkin patch.
North Arm Farm is a must-do experience enjoyed by all ages; pick up your favourite freshest veggies.
The Laughing Crow Organics certified organic farm has been delivering a variety of fresh vegetables to locals and visitors since 2013. Each season, they work extremely hard to produce high-quality veggies such as zucchini, snap peas, Hakurei Turnips, lettuce heads, cauliflower, corn in the early season, and finishing with winter squash, leeks, and the famous Pemberton potatoes. Support local and tour the community by stopping by their farm stand open daily, 9 AM-9 PM. Remember August as a great time to return and visit the farm, as each year, they have the most magnificent sunflower maze that you will dream about for years to come.

Locally Grown and Crafted Beer
After a jam-packed day of activities touring Pemberton, name a better feeling than a cold beer hitting your tongue? Drive out the Pemberton Meadows to the famous Beer Farmers for a delicious hand-crafted pint.
The Miller family arrived in Pemberton in 1890, four generations ago, initially to raise cattle and potatoes; in 1990, the family made a bold choice to grow 100% certified organic food. In 2010 the family decided to broaden their skills and start a brewery on the farm. They’re incredibly proud to brag their beer is 100% grown and brewed locally. Their tasting room is open daily for your satisfaction. They have season staples on tap, such as Cover Crop IPA, Belgian Blonde Ale, Equinox Pale Ale, and Locals Only Lager.
In addition, each season, they have rotating specials and new releases. A few highlight specials are the Salted Plum Sour, Blacksheep Coffee Stout, Spaghetti Western Italian Pilsner, and the Strawberry Saison. Hopefully, you’ll be lucky enough to try them all. It’s extremely rare for a brewery to locally produce and brew the beer on site, do yourself a favour, stop in for a pint, and enjoy the view.

Things to look forward to
Harvest season lasts all summer long; if your favourite veggies haven’t popped yet, you may just need to give it a week. In June, some things to look forward to are the weekly Pemberton Farmers Market and the harvest boxes. The Farmers Market is a great way to get a little taste of local businesses and pick up the freshest produce. Located in the heart of Pemberton, the community gathers each Friday from June until the end of October.
You can find crafts, produce, baked goods, kombucha, wine, and more! In addition, the local harvest boxes are an excellent way for you to experiment and get a taste of new vegetables. A tote a week is delivered directly to your doorstep filled with various fresh veggies to be prepared however you’d like.
Laughing Crow Organics is the primary provider of the Harvest boxes; they offer delivery from mid-June until mid-October. So there’s plenty to look forward to all season long, Farmers Market, new veggies, harvest boxes, sunflower mazes, and pumpkin patches.
