2023 Slow Food Cycle Sunday Cancelled

News from Tourism Pemberton BC

Pemberton's 2023 Slow Food Cycle Sunday has been cancelled.

2023 Slow Food Cycle Sunday Cancelled

Here are some quotes from information released by Tourism Pemberton.

"It is with deepest regret that we must inform our community, vendors and participants that due to the state of emergency and the heartbreaking spread of wildfires, the surrounding areas and residents affected that we must cancel Slow Food Cycle Sunday 2023. We ask for your understanding and support in not making the trip to Pemberton this Sunday.

“Due to the B.C. current state of emergency and in support of the Electoral Area A, our neighbours under evacuation order and alert, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel Slow Food Cycle."

The note refers to the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District Electoral Area A, which some parts have been told to evacuate due to a growing wildfire in the area.
