Working Hard to Be a "Green Hotel"

The Pemberton Valley Lodge is proud to be involved in a number of environmentally sustainable initiatives. The lodge continues to seek out new ways to improve our sustainable footprint through new ideas and improved technologies. In the past year's we have taken steps to revamp our recycling program, buy cleaner power, install power saving appliances & light fixtures, institute more sustainable housekeeping practices and several other measures. Our continued effort to minimize our environmental footprint remains a top priority at the Pemberton Valley Lodge moving forward.

Pemberton Valley Lodge "Green" Initiatives

Complimentary Electric Charging Station

Pemberton Valley Lodge's electric car charging station has plugins for two vehicles. The charging station is located in the Pemberton Valley Lodge parking lot.

Composting

Pemberton Valley Lodge also participates in composting to reduce the amount of content collected in local landfill operations.

Green Key Eco-Rating Program

The Green Key Eco-Rating Program is a graduated rating system designed to recognize hotels, motels and resorts that are committed to improving their environmental and fiscal performance.

Green Key 5 KEYSBased on the results of a comprehensive environmental self-assessment, hoteliers are awarded a 1 to 5 Green Key rating and provided with guidance on how to "unlock" opportunities to reduce environmental impacts and operating costs through reduced utility consumption, employee training, and supply chain management.

The Pemberton Valley Lodge has been individually rated by Green Key so that you, the guest, can better understand the level of sustainable practices at our hotel.

Pemberton Valley Lodge has been awarded a FIVE KEY RATING... the highest rating available. We are committed to continually improve our sustainable practices and is rated annually by Green Key.

TripAdvisor GreenLeadersTripAdvisor GreenLeaders properties have met a set of environmental standards developed for TripAdvisor by a leading environmental consulting firm, with input from expert partners. The more green practices a hotel has in place, the higher its GreenLeader level, which is shown on the property's listing on the TripAdvisor site.

Pemberton Valley Lodge is very pleased to have achieved PLATINUM status with the TripAdvisor GreenLeaders program.

The Pemberton Valley Lodge has forged a partnership with Bullfrog Power in the ongoing process to make the Lodge more eco-friendly.
