Farm to Table, Under the Stars

An Evening at the Araxi Longtable Dinner

When the summer light lingers over Mount Currie and the valley hums with life, there’s one event that quietly steals the season: the Araxi Longtable Dinner.

It’s not just dinner. It’s a ritual of gathering. Of slow eating and deep connection, staged in one of the most picturesque pockets of British Columbia. And lucky for us, it happens right here in our backyard.

A Table Set in the Field

Let’s set the scene. Rows of white-linen tables stretch across the lawn at North Arm Farm, framed by snow-dusted peaks and fields heavy with summer bounty. There’s the scent of just-picked herbs in the air, the faint clink of glasses, and that lovely hum that only happens when people are both relaxed and lit up. This is where Araxi, Whistler’s iconic fine dining restaurant, brings their kitchen to the farm. The chefs cook just steps from the table, in an open-air kitchen where you can smell the smoke, see the sizzle, and chat with the culinary team between courses. If it sounds idyllic, that’s because it is. But it’s also grounded, local, and thoughtfully done. No velvet ropes. No flash. Just great food, shared stories, and the quiet luxury of being here.

What’s on the Plate?

You’ll find the best of the season plated beautifully but without fuss. Think wild BC salmon kissed by the grill, heirloom carrots roasted until sweet, and greens picked that morning. Every ingredient has a short travel story, and many are from just a few metres away.

The meal unfolds over multiple courses, each paired with BC wines chosen for their story as much as their taste. If you’re a fan of wine country, this is your chance to discover some under-the-radar gems.

Not sure what’s being poured? Ask. The servers are warm, sharp, and full of insight without being pushy. It feels more like a community dinner than a formal affair.

Why We Love It

We’ve always believed the best experiences are the ones that feel rooted. The Araxi Longtable is exactly that. It celebrates this place and the people who grow, catch, and craft within it.

It’s also one of those rare events where strangers become neighbours. By the end of the night, you’ll know the couple to your left, have shared dessert with the group to your right, and likely have a few new recommendations to explore while you’re here.

And if you’re staying with us at the Lodge, we’re happy to help you plan your ride to and from the farm. Arrive a little early to walk the grounds, take in the scenery, and ease into the rhythm of the evening.
