Nestled in the heart of the Coast Mountains, just 25 minutes north of Whistler, Pemberton transforms into a vibrant hub of creativity during the annual Mountain Muse Festival.
Presented by the Pemberton Arts Council, this summer celebration of art, music, and culture brings together artists, performers, and community members for a weekend of inspired connection in one of British Columbia’s most scenic valleys.
Mountain Muse isn’t your average arts festival. It’s grassroots, community-driven, and infused with the character of Pemberton itself. The event invites you to connect with local and regional artists through an exciting mix of live performances, visual art exhibits, hands-on workshops, and creative showcases.
With events taking place across charming local venues, galleries, and outdoor spaces, it’s a true immersion in the cultural spirit of the Sea to Sky corridor.
What makes Mountain Muse especially unique is how accessible and welcoming it is. You don’t need to be an art aficionado to enjoy it. Whether you’re into live music, painting, storytelling, or just looking to soak up some laid-back creative vibes, there’s something for everyone.
Each year, the Mountain Muse Festival curates an eclectic program that highlights diverse voices and artistic expressions.
The festival also places a strong emphasis on community participation. Many of the workshops and events are by donation or pay-what-you-can, creating an inclusive space for everyone to engage and express themselves.
Pemberton offers the perfect mix of peaceful mountain charm and access to inspiring natural beauty. During the festival weekend, the whole town buzzes with energy. You can stroll from venue to venue, stop for a coffee at a cozy café, or take a break by the river before catching your next performance or workshop.
Staying at Pemberton Valley Lodge puts you right in the heart of the action while offering a serene, comfortable retreat at the end of each inspiring day. With spacious suites, mountain views, and easy access to the festival grounds, it’s the ideal home base for your cultural getaway.
