Exciting news for Pemberton’s disc golf enthusiasts! The Pemberton Disc Golf Course near the Nairn Falls connector trail at One Mile Lake is now open.
With nine operational baskets and a unique layout that allows you to play 18 holes, this shaded course provides a comfortable playing experience throughout the day.
Best of all, it’s 100% free—all you need is a disc or Frisbee, which are available at local sports stores.
For the uninitiated, disc golf combines elements of golf and Frisbee tossing. Players start on a tee box and aim to throw their disc into a basket serving as the hole.
Similar to traditional golf, the goal is to reach the basket in the fewest shots possible. The Pemberton course currently features 9 baskets, which can be played backwards to complete 18 par 3 holes.
Accessing the course is easiest through the One Mile Lake trail system. Head right onto the One Mile Lake Trail, continue for 3 minutes, then take the Nairn Falls Connector for another 2-3 minutes until you spot the first hole on your right.
Special thanks to the Whistler Blackcomb recreation program, which provided a $10,000 grant for construction. The Village of Pemberton secured the land, and dedicated volunteers played a crucial role in designing the course and installing baskets and tee-boxes.
