Visit Nairn Falls Provincial Park
No trip to Pemberton is complete without visiting
Pemberton's Nairn Falls. This
beautiful Provincial Park is flush with wonderful walking trails
and hikes.
The main draw of the park is the breath taking double waterfall. This amazing force of nature is a huge draw and is listed as the number #1 thing to do in Pemberton by TripAdvisor.com.
The easiest way to get to the waterfall is to drive to the Nairn Falls parking lot just 2 minutes away from the Pemberton Valley Lodge. If you're up for it you can park the car in town and hike the hour long trail from the village. Once you're at the Parking lot via hike or car you simply follow the signs along the Green River until you reach the falls.
From the parking lot the hike takes about 20 minutes each way. Along the way you will follow a man made trail along the Green River. The trail is a fairly easy walk however it's always best to wear a good hiking shoe with some traction in case of moisture. Most of the trail is fenced off along the dangerous parts but keep kids in range of you if you plan bringing the family along. Remember to respect the rivers power and never wander off trail towards the open water.
Once you get to the falls there are a number of places to view the waterfall in all its glory. Enjoy the spectacular views for as long as you want before you make your trip back.
If you're looking for more information on the falls don't hesitate to ask the knowledgeable staff at the Pemberton Valley Lodge. The local staff loves to share information on local hiking trails and activities.
