Slow Food Cycle Sunday This Weekend!
As we're sure you're all aware, it's less than a week until Slow Food Cycle Sunday! This Sunday bike ride has become a staple in Pemberton over the last few years welcoming farm-to-table enthusiasts from all over B.C to experience what the Pemberton Meadows has to offer.
Head over to our previous post if you need more info on Slow Food Cycle Sunday!
Nobody to ride with? Why don't you try to find some biking buddies on the Slow Food Cycle Sunday facebook page.
Pemberton Music Festival Community Fund
Think you've got a good idea for a community initiative? Well the Pemberton Music Festival Community Fund (PMFCF) is looking to give out grants for opportunities that benefit the community and/or agricultural projects. This opportunity comes courtesy of HUKA Entertainment, the Pemberton Music Festival promoters. They have committed to allocating a portion of each ticket sold to support community opportunities and initiatives within the Pemberton Valley, Village of Pemberton, Lil'wat Nation, and SLRD Area C which includes nearby communities of Birken, D'Arcy, and N'quatqua.
Araxi Longtable Dinner Series
Another treat that comes to Pemberton this weekend is the Araxi Longtable Dinner Series. On the same day as Slow Food Cycle Sunday, one of British Columbia's most compelling and ambitious open air dining experiences returns to North Arm Farms. The award-winning Executive Chef, James Walt, will be creating a four-course meal for 400 guests, the biggest longtable ever hosted in British Columbia.
Mouth isn't watering yet?
Unfortunately as of now, the 2016 Araxi Longtable Dinner has sold out! However, you can be placed on the waitlist and contacted should tickets become available. I can't see the harm in trying or at least marking your calendar for next year's Longtable Dinner. E-mail Neil Henderson at longtable@araxi.com indicating your phone number and party size if you would like to waitlist.
