Pemberton's Best Local Comfort Foods (& Drink)
Pemberton has long been known for the
quality of its potatoes. But it wasn't until Tyler and Jonathan
Schramm decided to distill their organic potatoes and turn them
into premium organic small batch vodka that things
got really interesting. To do this right, Tyler went to Scotland
for his Master's thesis in Brewing & Distilling at Heriot-Watt
University in Edinburgh, Scotland. Together, they started the
distillery in 2008, and by 2009, Tyler had hand distilled his first
batch. Stop by their Distillery front room during open hours or
better yet take a Distillery
Tour on select Saturday's throughout the year!
At Mount Currie Coffee
Co. a warm cuppa is the quintessential comfort drink and
Pemberton has some of the best beans around. Recent reviews
from Tripadvisor include this: "The line-up in the store is what
you'd expect in NYC or Toronto... but it seems that people come
from all over, especially on bike, for a cup of the coffee, and for
a very good reason.... it's very good coffee."

is deliberately local in both food and decor, creating a cozy
atmosphere that you come to expect in Pemby dining. Really good
food, done right. It's great tasting, simple food. Exactly what
comfort food should be.

handcrafted artisan breads and pastries. Exactly what you need to
